Our stall garnered attention from esteemed dignitaries and industry leaders who recognized the importance of sustainable initiatives. Notable figures, including Senator Sherry Rehman Former Minister of Climate Change of Pakistan, Ms. Brigit Lamm Country Director Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Pakistan, Mr Bilal Anwar CEO National Disaster Risk Management Fund Pakistan and Mr. Najy Benhassine Country Director WorldBank engaged in insightful discussions, reinforcing the significance of corporate responsibility in the pursuit of a greener future.
Dynamic Interactions and Networking
RPL actively participated in interactive sessions and networking opportunities, fostering connections with like-minded professionals and organizations. These engagements provided a platform to share our sustainable practices, gain valuable insights, and explore potential collaborations that align with our vision for a more sustainable and responsible future. Roshan Packages Limited’s CEO took the stage at the fireside chat titled ‘Sustainable Consumption and Production and Green Jobs’ with representatives from UNEP and other packaging companies. He highlighted RPL’s commitment towards sustainability and capacity building as well as highlighting the opportunity for Green Jobs as the country makes the Green Transition.
Moreover, our Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager Ms. Rija Tayyab was invited as a Panelist at the Sustainable Development Conference on the panel titled Sustainable Agriculture. She joined esteemed panelist such as Mr.ย Dr. Abid Qaiyum Suleri, SDPI Executive Director, Mr.ย Malik Amin Aslam Khan, former Minister of Climate Change, Mr.ย Zafar Masud, Presidentย The Bank of Punjab, and other notable leaders in sustainable agriculture. In addition to Roshan Packages Limited’s involvement in sustainable agriculture packaging and the importance of innovative technology in curbing food loss, she highlighted RPL’s initiatives to educate farmers and raise awareness about the proper packaging and transportation of fruits and vegetables as a means of reducing food loss.
Moreover she participated in a policy debate on Green Transition in South Asia, hosted by SDPI in collaboration with the World Bank. Addressing key issues from environmental pollution to the economic benefits of a Green Transition, our participation underscores our commitment to sustainable development. As well as representing Roshan Packages Limited at the Roundtable on ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐; ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ in collaboration with UN Environment Programme GO4SDGs. She joined distinguished panelists from the industry, academia and the UN such as Ms. Adriana Zacarias Farah from GO4SDGs UNEP, Mr. Khurram Shah from PepsiCo Pakistan : Ms. Aatekah Mir-Khan from Nestle Pakistan, Ms. Young-Ran Hur, UNEP, Mr. Ali Syed, CEO Ouroboros, Mr. Kashif Tipu, DC Larkana, Mr.Muhammad Bin Shahzad from Tetra Pak and Mr. Sahib Alam khan from WWF – Pakistan.
